about

A beautiful conversation between a Martian Musk and the rest of humanity.

This song is a collaboration between Lukas Olson and James Horvath. It is the third and final installment of their Space Trilogy.

lyrics

Incoming message from Elon Musk
Direct from Mars to our TVs
A message to everyone on Earth:
It seems that Mr. Musk is lonely
(He’s a little lonely, yes he is
It gets a little lonely here for him)

He sits inside his Martian hut
He traveled here without a crew
In the end, no one showed up
We all found better things to do

Elon says it’s pretty nice out here
He goes outside and kicks some sand
Then back inside to eat some beans
His A.I love-bot lends a hand

He swears the future here on Earth’s no fun
For his big brain there’s no more space
But such a big brain needs a big fan base
So come and help him populate
(Make a few babies here on Mars
We need a few babies here on Mars)

Okay Elon, we’re impressed
But it’s not been too bad since you’ve gone
Things have started making sense
We all are right where we belong

You say space and time are running out
We see them bubbling like a stew
We’ll make a space-time soup and drink it up! (mmm… yummy! Yeah!)
We’ve got so much good work to do

And Elon, if you want a job down here
We don’t need to see your résumé
We’d like to move on far beyond your past
And our future’s only day to day

There’s nothing in the sky that we need to fly to find
No new planets, suns or moons
There’s a new frontier sitting right behind our eyes
And I know we can get there soon

Because space is possible on Earth
I said, space is possible on Earth
Know what I mean?
Space is possible on Earth
I said, space is possible on Earth

Because you know, we got outer space
We got deep space, near space, and air space
But what we’re talking about here is Earthspace
The frontier of Earthspace

You’re pioneers of the frontier of Earthspace!
So put on your traveling hats, because by God, by now you should know where it’s at
Space is possible on Earth!

Get me inside that Earthspace inside your mind
And I’ll ride it to the ocean of immutable, liquid, focused time, YEAH!
Space is possible right here on Earth!!

Well, do you know how to go into that space?
Yeah, it looks like the Earth and it’s right in your place
All you got to do is look into my face, then look into your face, then have you some space
Because space is possible on Earth!
I said space is possible on Earth!
Take it away!!

One more time!
Space is possible on Earth
I said, space is possible on Earth

ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!!

Space is possible on Earth-
I’m not talking about your grandpapa’s space, grandmama’s space, I’m talking about the space we got right here now baby on Earth now, YEAH!!
